When the coronavirus job retention scheme was first announced, many people were left frustrated at the lack of support from the government for self-employed workers. Eventually, the government announced the SEISS (self employment income support scheme), allowing self employed workers to claim a percent of their profits stated on their previous tax returns. Now, in line with the job retention scheme, the government has extended the SEISS in order to ensure that those self-employed workers, are able to claim for support. If you have any questions about any of the criteria regarding this scheme and eligibility then please let us know, or if you feel you have questions as to why you may have been refused access to the SEISS, then please do not hesitate to get in touch.
